The Focus on the Masters Archive & Library is hiring!

FOTM is in search of a part-time Executive Assistant to assist with day to day operations.  The position will require 20 hours per week at $20 per hour.  The ideal candidate will have experience working in the non-profit sector, be familiar with fundraising strategies, grant writing, membership software, event planning and working with volunteers.

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Serve as liaison to the Executive Director and staff.
  • Correspondence via mail and email relating to donor recognition, documented artists and the public.
  • Interface with the public at events.
  • Be familiar with donor base software.
  • Assist in planning events for the organization.
  • Conduct research.
  • Maintain day to day office requirements.
  • Supervise and coordinate volunteer activities such as monthly mailings, event planning and volunteer acknowledgement.
  • Assist in developing policies/procedures and make recommendations for changes as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of correspondence writing techniques including correct English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and punctuation.
  • Competent computer skills including, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and database software. Knowledge of Donor Perfect and Constant Contact a plus.
  • Competent in social media and marketing including media relations and press releases.
  • Knowledge of working in the non-profit sector.
  • Ability to work independently to perform assignments.
  • Ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and observe appropriate protocol as a representative of Focus on the Masters.
  • Ability to resolve minor issues and problems and make recommendations for resolving more complex problems or issues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of the artists documented and proprietary programming.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and public relations with a wide variety of contacts both internally and externally.
