William
McEnroe (1922 - )
Brought up in the Boston, Massachusetts area, Bill McEnroe received
his early training at the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts and
the Tremont School of Art.
Landing in California after four years of service in the US Navy
during World War II, he received a bachelor’s degree in art
at the California State University at San Jose and earned his masters
at Stanford University. His subsequent graduate work brought him
to the University of the Americas in Mexico City, The University
of Oregon at Eugene and the University of California, Los Angeles.
He became a Professor of Art at Ventura Community College and retired
in 1982 after a 32 year teaching career. Bill is a Signature Member
of the National Watercolor Society, the Northwest Watercolor Society
and the Northwest Pastel Society. |
