Portrait by Donna Granata - 2011
Photographer Bill Hendricks is drawn to disappearing and shifting cultures, to the vulnerable among us, to the moment that separates today from tomorrow. His lens captures time and isolates it, giving us the luxury of interpretation. He takes pictures to simplify chaos, to bring order to societies in flux, to open our eyes to our common humanity. He is an ambassador whose portfolio is a camera, an explorer searching for connections with other cultures. Bill is a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography. At Ventura College, Bill teaches and inspires, encouraging his students to find their original vision. A great passion is his continued travels to and study of Cuba, having visited and led tours to that country more dozens of times.
Bill Hendricks documentation took place in 2007 and was co-Sponsored by Wanda & Jim Stroud & The Jessica and Stanley Prescott Trust. The FOTM Archive contains extensive information about this artist. To learn more about Hendricks, visit his websit at Hendricks-Studios.com.
